The trend of remaking classic Disney animations into live-action or photorealistic versions has become increasingly popular, but also increasingly criticized by some. The anticipation of the release of The Little Mermaid next month has left many feeling apprehensive due to viral images of a crab and a fish with lips. Rather than the hype around The Little Mermaid though, the recent release of Peter Pan & Wendy on Disney+ has gone relatively unnoticed.
